Testimonials From Our Family of Pet Lovers:

“Sweet receptionist, there was a line but they went as fast and efficiently. They were caring and nice and compassionate. Very affordable and willing to work with you as long as you put in as well. They are priced extremely well and all in all a good vet!”

Teressa Hoover

“Love this place! Was quoted $400 to $500 by RAH but decided to go to CVH in Astoria…..my total bill was $195. Well worth the drive.”

Kari Pearson

“Had the BEST experience! I drove all the way from Vancouver to see Dr. Weller. My vet in town told me I should just put down my French Bulldog puppy because of a prolasped rectum. I took him to Dr. Weller and he put it back in and did a purse string suture. I got there at 9am and left by 12. I really was blown away with the service he gave. My puppy is doing amazing and all thanks to Dr. Weller. I will drive there again!”

Amy Blackwell

“This is a great vet hospital, people travel from across the Columbia to go there. They are super affordable. There is usually a line so try to get there early.”

Nicky Jones

“I took my dog here for a teeth cleaning and removal of infected teeth. Everyone here was so nice and helpful, and the price was about $1000 cheaper than I had estimated elsewhere. They did great work and I would definitely go back again.”

Michelle Turner

“They have been my vets since Dr. Goza was there. They definitely put your pet before money, and offer payments in many cases. I usually see Scott Weller, but all of them are good. Years ago my cat had an emergency at Thanksgiving, so I took her to a vet east of where I live, Clatskanie. I left with no diagnosis, having paid $500. The next day Dr Goza looked at her, made a correct diagnosis, and it cost me $40. I think their knowledge, heartfelt care and prices are as good now as they were then.”

Carol Brandt

“This is the best veterinary clinic around. Every staff member, from the vets to the support staff, is friendly, patient, and knowledgable. It is very comforting to know that our pets are in the hands of professionals that truly care for their welfare.”

“I’ve been taking my cats here for years. I live in Portland and this clinic is in Astoria; so yes I drive 2 hours. Why you ask? Here’s an example: I took one of my kitties to a local vet because it was a very busy week and I didn’t have time to get to Astoria. Kitty didn’t get much better. I took her to Columbia Vet’s the next week. My kitty had been partially misdiagnosed. They charged me more than twice what Columbia Veterinary did and that includes my gas. And kitty was still sick. Are there other less expensive clinics with good care in Portland, absolutely. But I still have yet to find any Clinic that can bet the great care and price of Columbia Veterinary.”

Kimberly Kimber

“Definitely out of many people’s way, but it’s so worth it!”

Jon Tannler

“I live in Lynnwood, WA.and I have a female doberman and she had developed an enlarged cist under her chest that was hanging 2-3 inches from her chest. To have it removed, it was going to cost between $1000 to $1300. My mother-in-law told me about Columbia and her past experiences with them. So I drove without a reservation to Astoria on Friday. I told them my dilemma, they suggested I come early at 8am and they would keep her most of the day and then release her provided there were no set backs. I picked her up that evening and the cyst was removed with no complications. The beauty behind the whole ordeal was that the procedure, including pain pills and antibiotics was less than $100. It was certainly worth the 5 hr. drive. The staff was also great and helpful. I would do it again if I had to.”

Dedrick Lomax

“The staff, doctors and vet aides are so personable and caring here. They have such empathy and compassion for their clients and the patients (animals/fur babies) they see and treat there. I would recommend them to anyone every time! Thank you for all you do Columbia Vet Hospital <3”

Amanda Cason

“These people truly care about animals more than money. They’re all terrific! Be prepared to wait if you don’t schedule an appointment.”

Joseph Wicker

“This vet is very skilled and knowledgeable. They are true pet lovers and go far and beyond to ensure your pet get back to good health. They will give u superior service with low cost fees. They kept my dog for over a week, healed a badly injured arm where the bone was visible, never once judged us or assumed anything negative, and the out of pocket expense was under $400 while another vet quoted 3k and that was with only 3days over night.”

“I just want to say thank you. Not only have the staff always been super nice and the prices beyond reasonable but more than that– I had to let go of my baby today and the vet and staff made sure I had plenty of time to say goodbye and be with him. The thing that really touched me is that even though he was heavily sedated the Dr. still spoke to him as though he were fully alert and it just seemed incredibly kind. Thank you again, it was a horrible day but everyone there was so compassionate.”

Kaylin Hutson

“Best vet in town! We’ve been grateful for every experience.”

Magi Hubert

“They are outstanding! Best vet in the Northwest. They care about your animals not the money. So very friendly. We drive from Longview to go there.”

Joye Zueger

“Excellent all around. My first experience with this hospital was over 10 years ago. I came about a dog I volunteered to help needed a broken leg mended. They were able to fix the leg for less than half the cost of any veterinarian in the region. The dog lives happily and healthy. Recently visited the hospital again to have my new cat spayed, and once again this hospital continues to impress with its efficiency, proficiency, and excellent work done at affordable prices. Visit the office or call ahead to schedule appointments. Phones closed noon to 1:30 pm for surgeries.”

Kristofer Marks

“There is a reason why it’s so busy and so popular. These people truly care about animals. As someone who wasn’t an existing client, they took my dog in for emergency care and stayed well past closing time. Her own established vet refused to take her condition seriously (we no longer go there). I can’t say enough good things about them. Even their other clients are kind and fun to talk to while everyone waits. It’s a GOOD place all around. You don’t need an appointment. It’s all walk in. Go and welcome to an awesome vet 🙂 I love them!”
